Shortly after the themed-dinner that started it all, the Lord laid it on my heart to build a fountain for a cancer survivor. Like many with this disease, he had gone through some very rough times. I had never met this person before but, I had heard a lot about him through church and Sunday School.
The Lord gave me the design and the ability to create this fountain which has become my favorite fountain of all. I named it: The Guardian. Every structure of it carries some type of significance given from GOD for them. I was lucky enough to be blessed with seeing the joy and hope that this fountain brought to this cancer survivor and his wife when I presented the fountain to them. It filled me with an over-coming wave of emotion myself seeing the message it provided for this couple.
With this inspiration I then decided to create a hobby where I could bring joy to other people...hopefully all over the world and thus Carolina Copper Creations was formed.
Goal, and outreach....
My goal is to be successful enough through my copper work sales to provide enough extra funding to be able to make and donate many of my "Guardian" fountains. Through these efforts, I will hopefully be able to provide this particular designed fountain to those that may need their spirits lifted. Whether it be one fighting a terrible disease like cancer, or someone that has recently lost a loved one, it is my wish that these fountains can bring some peace to their lives.
While working my job at a hospital, I see so many people everyday that need to know that they are not alone, that God is always there with them, and he doesn't want them to endure the pain that they may be suffering through. It is my prayer that by giving this particular fountain to individuals in need of spiritual healing, that it can give the knowledge to the recipient that God is with them always, no matter what obstacles they may be facing.
I am just getting started with this venture, and I know in my heart that only good things will come from these fountains and sculptures.
A final thought....
I will begin creating a fund where I will donate a percentage of the proceeds from my art work to go to the making and distributing of "The Guardian" fountains to those facing struggles in their lives.
With one of these fountains I hope to give something to help one get through the rough times they may be facing in their lives, whatever it may be.
